FlexStaff is seeking an MRI Technologist for our client, located in Massapequa. This is a direct-hire, full-time position. Schedule will vary and candidates must have weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans with precision and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Prepare and educate patients on the MRI process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques during procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to discuss imaging findings.
- Ensure all MRI equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions or issues immediately.
- Document patient information and imaging results accurately in the medical records system.
- Stay current with advancements in MRI technology and best practices in medical imaging.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as an MRI Technologist from an accredited institution.
- ARRT registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) required
- Minimum of six (6) months experience as a Radiology Technologist, required. Previous MRI experience, Required.
- Proven experience in medical imaging and MRI procedures.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and safety protocols in a clinical setting.
