FlexStaff is seeking a Temporary GL Accountant to assist in the accounting department for one of our clients, nonprofit agency dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with psychiatric and developmental disabilities.
This is a temporary job until the end of 2025.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounting and bookkeeping for 8 to 10 cash accounts.
Monday – Friday; 9:00AM-4:00PM, half-hour paid lunch, fully on-site.
An ideal candidate would have a degree in accounting and at least two years’ experience in general accounting and/or bookkeeping and advanced Excel. Knowledge of FEZ (Fund EZ) a plus, not required.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Ensures bank reconciliations are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Prepare accurate, financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the fiscal department.
• Generates journal entries.
• Prepares month end journal entries.
• Corrects errors by posting and adjusting journal entries.
• Prepares reports in Excel: exports from CSV files, VLOOKUP’s, PivotTables and filters.
